Temporary Fencing Panel SONTO WITH CROSS BAR

WITH CROSS BAR has an additional horizontal profile that stiffens the panel — for lines that stand for longer and are exposed to impacts. This is a temporary fencing panel: frame made of galvanised steel tubes, mesh infill spot-welded or welded to the frame. The line is installed without foundations — the panels slot into ballast feet and are joined with couplers, so the whole fence can be moved along with the progress of works.

Where mesh temporary fencing works best

• construction sites and temporary plot fencing,
• large events and functions — controlling access to the zone,
• road works and refurbishments,
• protecting excavations from unauthorised access,
• ad hoc fencing on industrial sites.

The open mesh keeps visibility, making it easier to monitor the site, and lets wind through, which reduces pressure on the fence line. It does not, however, screen out dust, noise or onlookers — that’s what the steel hoarding panel made of box profile sheet is for.

What else you need to put up a fence line

The price is for one panel. Fixing and stabilising components are chosen to match the line length and the ground — we supply them together with the panels:

• Concrete feet (24 or 32 kg, six fixing holes) or recycled plastic feet (16 and 24 kg).
• Couplers — join neighbouring panels into a single structure.
• Fence stays (braces) — increase stability, especially on difficult ground.
• T-type ground pins, angled ground stakes and anchors — fix the stays to the ground.
• Double-leaf gates and pedestrian gates — controlled vehicle and pedestrian access; fittings (hinges, wheels) available separately.

Fence installation and stability

The panels slot into feet, and neighbouring panels are joined with couplers — the connection system needs no special tools, so the line is easy to fit to uneven ground. Where the fence is more exposed to wind, the structure is reinforced with side stays secured with a ground pin, ground stake or anchor. Stability depends on the weight of the feet and the number of stays — we’ll recommend the right choice when quoting, based on the line length, ground and wind exposure.

We can also install or hire the fence: installation and hire are charged at a rate per linear metre.

Frequently asked questions

How many panels do I need for 100 metres of fencing?

The WITH CROSS BAR panel is 3500 mm long in a run, so about 29 panels are needed per 100 m of fence. We match the number of feet, couplers and stays to the line configuration and state them in the quote.

Can panels of different types be combined in one line?

Yes. The manufacturer states that the ANTICLIMB and SHORT types are fully compatible with standard panels, and temporary gates fit all panel types.

How do I create an entrance in the fence line?

Ready-made double-leaf gates 4,4 m and 7 m wide (also in Oval+AntiClimb version) fit the system, along with pedestrian gates for foot traffic. Hinges and wheels for gates are also available separately.

How do I stop the fence from toppling over?

The key is enough weight in the feet, and in wind-exposed spots — side stays anchored with a ground pin, ground stake or anchor. We determine the number of stays needed when quoting, as it depends on the line length, ground and exposure.
